OverTheLast is a small, independent horse racing website. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law.

The short version
- OverTheLast is a static website. It does not run a database, does not have user accounts, and does not set cookies of its own.
- We run no analytics on this site, no tracking pixels, no third-party advertising scripts. Nobody, including us, gets a record of which pages you read or how you got here, beyond the basic hosting logs described below.
- The only JavaScript on the site powers our calculators (the bet calculator, each-way calculator, odds converter and similar tools). These run entirely in your browser: the numbers you type in are never sent anywhere, never stored, and disappear the moment you close or refresh the page.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (like your IP address) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Details below.
- We carry affiliate links to third-party bookmakers. Once you click through, you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours.
What data we collect directly
We do not collect, store or process any personal data through the site itself. There is no sign-up form, no comments section, no newsletter, no account system and no cookie banner, because there is nothing here that needs one.
If you email us directly, we will hold that email (and any reply) for as long as is reasonably necessary to deal with your query, and no longer than we need to.
Cookies
OverTheLast does not set any cookies. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, preferences or any other purpose. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not need a cookie consent banner under UK PECR rules, and you will not see one on this site.
Cloudflare, as our hosting and security provider, may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies purely to protect the site from abuse (for example, distinguishing a real visitor from an automated attack). These are not used to track you, are not shared with advertisers, and are exempt from consent requirements because they are essential to delivering the service securely. Cloudflare: our hosting provider
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. As is standard for any website, Cloudflare processes some technical data on our behalf in order to deliver pages to you and to protect the site from malicious traffic. This typically includes:
- Your IP address
- Browser and device information (user agent)
- Request logs (which pages were requested, and when)
Cloudflare acts as a data processor for this technical, security-related processing. We do not access this data for marketing or tracking purposes, and we do not combine it with any other information to build a profile of you. Affiliate links
Some links on this site, mostly buttons marked "Visit site" and links marked
rel="sponsored nofollow", are affiliate links to bookmakers licensed by the
UK Gambling Commission. If you click through and go on to open an account or
place a bet, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Once you leave OverTheLast and land on a bookmaker's site, their privacy policy and cookie policy apply, not ours. Bookmaker sites will typically set their own cookies and may run their own analytics and advertising tracking. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how third-party sites handle your data after you click through.

Your rights under UK GDPR
Because we hold almost no personal data about visitors, most of these rights will rarely come up in practice, but you have them all the same. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is used (this page).
- Access any personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure of your data ("the right to be forgotten"), where applicable.
- Restrict or object to processing of your data.
- Data portability, where applicable.
