How does the Grand National sweepstake generator work?
Enter the names of everyone taking part, one per line. If you already know the runners you can paste them in too; if not, the tool draws numbered horses for you (up to 34, the Grand National's maximum field). Hit Draw and each player is randomly assigned a horse.
What if there are more horses than players?
The tool shares the horses out fairly. Once every player has one, any spare horses are dealt round again, so some players may end up with two or more, but the extras are spread as evenly as possible.
Can I use it before the runners are confirmed?
Yes. Leave the runners box empty and the tool draws numbered horses (No. 1 to No. 34). Once the final field is declared, you can paste the real horses in and draw again.
Is the sweepstake generator free?
Yes, it is completely free and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.
